This pretty and well cared for site is in a pleasant location at the edge of the Forêt de Chaux. The adjacent River Loué will be an attraction for fishermen and river bathing is also possible. There are about 20 mobile homes and chalets to rent, and 90 shady level grassy touring pitches all with 6-10A electricity, 17 of which are premium riverside pitches.

During peak season, various activities are organised including canoeing trips and themed evenings. The restaurant, with its riverside terrace, is attractively decorated and offers a varied menu. The friendly owners can recommend numerous footpaths and cycle routes through the forest.

The royal saltworks (Salines Royales) at Arc-et-Senans were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2009. Built by Ledoux in the late 18th century, this stunning ensemble is one of the finest examples of an early Enlightenment project.
