Flower Camping le Château, as you would expect, the site is set on the grounds of an old Chateau and is a very short walk into the lovely French village of Hauterives. Access to the site is easy, and sat nav can be relied upon; opposite the site is a new supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station with car wash, laundry pod and bottled gas. Arrival and check-in is easy and efficient, and you are invited to view the site to select your pitch (English is spoken at reception). The site comprises 126 pitches which are well-spaced and large; some offer a good deal of privacy and shade.

Facilities are excellent and cleaned regularly throughout the day, and a laundry room is also on-site. The best thing about this site has to be the Pool Complex with an adjoining Bar/Restaurant located in the courtyard of the old Chateau, access is free, and there is a full-time lifeguard on duty (please note shorts are not allowed. Swimming trunks only, these are sold in reception if you don’t own a pair). This site makes a good overnight stop, but with the excellent facilities, you will likely want to stay longer.

This is a picturesque village, well known as the home of the famous Postman Cheval. There are many shops. Visitors choose this place as a stop over, but many finally enjoy a longer stay as there is so much to discover: well-marked trails for rambling, mountain biking or horse riding. A city trip to Lyon or Vienne is also recommended.

Directions to Flower Camping le Château

Leave the A7 at exit 12 (Chanas) and take third exit from roundabout (D519 for Grenoble-Beaurepaire). At Beaurepaire take D538 and through Lens Lestang, then Hauterives. At roundabout by the church, turn left for Romans. Site is 200 m. on the left.
