Domaine de la Palme was a run down municipal site until three years ago when Delphine and Michel Munck bought it. They have worked hard to upgrade it and provide good clean facilities and some unusual tents to rent. The site is situated on the edge of the village, next to the sports stadium and close to the salt étang, with the beach and sea beyond. Of the 69 level grass pitches, 42 are for touring units. They are of a good size and divided by low fencing and the odd shrub; all have 6/10A electricity. Rental accommodation includes mobile homes, wood clad chalets and wooden pods in addition to two very original bivouac tents, open at the base with a covered sleeping area above, designed and built by Michel. The use of wood complements the natural look and style of the site.
The Etang de la Palme is a preserved area and not only provides a range of wind, kite and buggy sailing, but is a haven for migratory birds. Salt production is now being redeveloped and visits can be arranged. Beyond the étang is a 2.5 km. stretch of a fine natural beach. The Corbières form a backdrop to La Palme with walking and bicycle routes and vineyards to visit.
