Ferieninsel Winningen is not an island but a peninsula on the Mosel River in the beautiful wine region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. On-site, 200 touring pitches with 16Amp electric hook-up points are available. Pitches are not delimited, but there is an uncomplicated registration system, and you can choose where you would like to pitch your caravan, motorhome or tent. Please keep in mind that the campsite can get busy during the high season, and if you choose a pitch next to Mosel River, there is some noise from passing boats and jet skis.
The campsite offers various amenities to make your stay comfortable, including an on-site restaurant serving delicious meals, perfect after a day of exploring the area. There is also a large terrace where guests can enjoy their meals outdoors, overlooking the river. The campsite shop also stocks a variety of essentials, so you won't have to worry about running out of supplies. Children will also enjoy spending time at the small playground on site.
The campsite is also located in a great spot for exploring the surrounding area. The Mosel Valley is a beautiful region with plenty of hiking and biking trails, wineries, and charming villages to visit. The town of Winningen itself is located just a short walk from the campsite and has a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Hike or bike along the Mosel River. The Moselsteig Trail is a popular long-distance hiking trail that runs for 275 kilometers along the entire length of the Mosel River. There are also many shorter trails in the area that are perfect for a day trip.
