Fangfoss railway station stands on the old York – Beverley line (closed in 1965) and the Station House and its platform give this small, simple site plenty of character. Its rural situation amongst rolling farmland provides peace and tranquillity, and its owners a friendly welcome. The grassed over track and sidings provide hardstanding and together with the adjacent fairly level grass field, give a total of 75 marked pitches, all with 10A electricity and 19 with hardstanding. York is eight miles (with ‘park and ride’) and the Yorkshire Wolds five miles. There are nearby market towns and a variety of pubs and restaurants within a six-mile radius.

Fangfoss 1 mile. Pocklington 4 miles with sports facilities etc. This area will encourage walkers and cyclists.

Facilities at Fangfoss Old Station Caravan Park

A rather tired, centrally situated toilet block provides free adjustable hot showers, vanity style washbasins (two cubicles for ladies). A separate wooden utility block provides covered dishwashing and laundry sinks with free hot water and a washing machine. Reception stocks food essentials with an off-licence and gas. Fenced play area. Winter caravan storage.

Directions to Fangfoss Old Station Caravan Park

Using the A1079 York-Hull road, follow site signs at Wilberfoss for 1.5 miles (in a northerly direction). On A166 York-Bridlington road, park is clearly signed at Stamford Bridge, on right just after crossing the river.
