This superbly located farm campsite can be found nestling in a valley beside the River Exe. The working farm provides four meadows, all without electricity, and is ideal for ‘back to basics’ style touring. Uniquely, open fires are permitted in one field with logs being available to purchase. You can marvel at the wildlife, wander around the working farm and sample the farm’s own produce in the shop, which also stocks basic provisions. Walking maps can be found at reception which is located in the old dairy.

A converted farm building provides the only sanitary block with hot water provided by solar energy. Natural spring drinking water is also available. The Edwards Family are helpful and friendly and encourage you to explore their farm. The site also has six self-catering holiday cottages to let.

Facilities

The unheated toilet block houses the usual facilities including showers, washbasins and hot water, provided by solar energy. They have 2 family shower rooms, a large drying room and laundry facilities. A small Farm shop (end May-early Sept) supplying the basics and farm meat. Gas bottle exchanges available. Facility for freezing and keeping food cool in a communal fridge/freezer (gold coin donation).

Location

From Exford: take the Porlock road out of Exford leaving the Village green on your left and the Post Office on your right. After 1/4 mile the road does a Y fork, turn left; you are now on a single track road. Continue along this road for 2 miles until you see a sign on a tree "Westermill Farm Campsite" the road goes around to the right and you continue straight on along our lane and into the yard. Do not use sat nav.
