This very spacious site (54 ha) is set in a conservation area which will appeal to nature lovers. It is surrounded by two large lakes ideal for fishing or just lazing in a boat, with no motor boats allowed. Young children need to be supervised as access to both lakes is unfenced. There are 93 good-sized, shady pitches, 27 fully serviced for touring units (5/10A electricity). On grass, some are slightly sloping. There are also 11 mobile homes for rent. The nearby town of Eauze (6 km) is on the Santiago de Compostella pilgrim route and also is the centre of the Armagnac producing region (the oldest French brandy).

Walking through this vast site, visitors can discover many varieties of plants and trees and if lucky, spot the rare and protected fresh water turtle ‘La Cistude’. Off site, an 18-hole golf course with a restaurant and tennis court can be found 3 km. away. Less visited than its popular neighbour the Lot, the Gers, renowned for its gastronomy, is very welcoming to visitors and hosts a number of festivals and medieval fairs throughout the summer.

Directions to Domaine les Lacs d’Armagnac

From Condom, take the D131 south to Eauze and 2.5 km. before Eauze, turn north on D29 to Bretagne d’Armagnac. In village, turn left on D264 towards Castelnau d’Auzan. Site is signed on the left after 2 km.
