Alan Rogers Review
This campsite is owned by the La Marina Group, and the huge investment made is showing as the comprehensive renovation programme continues. It is situated between the Albufera lake and the sea, with rice fields on both sides.
The 87 level touring pitches are on sand and gravel, all with 16A electricity hook-ups (2-pin sockets). There are no water connections on pitches at the moment. They are separated by fir hedges and young trees, but there is shade from more mature trees.
A modern amenities complex is at the heart of the site and includes a swimming pool, extensive play facilities for children and a large auditorium. Bungalows for rent are located in a separate area from the touring pitches.
The lake is a haven for wildlife and the variety of different bird species is breathtaking. There is a boat ride at 20.00 allowing you to watch the sunset, the only location in this part of Spain where it can be seen to set over water. Don't forget to take a warm jumper - it can get very chilly - and some insect repellent as there are midges in abundance!
