Cow Close Caravan and Camping is less than a mile from Leyburn town which can be accessed by a footpath directly from where you are staying and has independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The site is ideally situated to access many local attractions as well as the neighbouring towns of Richmond, Middleham, Bedale and Masham. It's the Gateway to the Dales with easy access to The Yorkshire Dales National Park and the beautiful scenery and villages within it. There are 21 hardstanding pitches with EHU for caravans and motorhomes, as well as 7 grass pitches with EHU for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There are also four camping pods available to hire.

There are many annual attractions for visitors such as the Wensleydale Agricultural Show, 1940's weekend, Swaledale Festival and the Middleham Stables Open Day. There is plenty to see and do for everyone including walks of varying lengths and terrain, from a stroll along Leyburn Shawl to Castle Bolton, or a walk over moorland to Penhill to take in the amazing views of the Dale. There are opportunities to follow cycle routes ranging from easy to "Tour of Yorkshire" standard. Visitor attractions are aplenty in nearby towns and villages; markets, castles, art galleries, waterfalls, Brymor Ice Cream, Forbidden Corner and of course "Wallace and Gromit" Wensleydale Cheese.

The postcode is DL8 5JJ and the site is the only property with this postcode so your Sat-Nav should bring you straight to the site. You are not recommended to use the road from the Pheasant Inn at Harmby as it is narrow and difficult to navigate to the site. From Leyburn join High Street which becomes Richmond Road. Continue on A6108 past Wensleydale School and a layby on the right for the Wensleydale Show. Next take a sharp right turn and the site is on this road.
