Set in the grounds of a château, Castel Camping le Château de Lez Eaux lies in a rural situation just off the main route south, under two hours from Cherbourg. Of the 121 touring pitches all with electricity (10A, Europlug) and 90 with water and drainage. Most of the pitches are of a very good size, partly separated by trees and shrubs on flat or slightly sloping, grassy ground overlooking Normandy farmland and a small fishing lake. The campsite offers several kinds of camping accommodation and pitch depending on your desires and needs - from treehouse to mobile-home with Jacuzzi, and chalet to camping pitches for tents, caravans and mobile homes. Activities are certainly not lacking and they include a covered water park with slides, paddling pool, swimming pools; games area, bouncy castles, fishing lake, tennis court and bike rental.
This is a very pleasant location from which to explore this corner of the Cotentin peninsula, Avranches and Le Mont Saint-Michel being a short distance away. The nearest beach is Saint Pair (4 km) and the port of Granville, where you can take a boat trip to the Channel Islands or the Isles of Chausey, is 7 km away. Although the grounds of the château are taken up with camping, they are ideal for an interesting and relaxing stroll as many of the original buildings still remain.
