This site is located in a fairly remote, rural setting but does have a full range of services and activities in July and August. Outside this period it may feel rather too empty and quiet for some. There are 26 chalet-style gîtes on site and a fair number of seasonal caravans. Set in one corner of what is a very large park with a lake, the camping area is fan shaped, with 134 individual pitches divided by hedges and shrubs. These are in rows back to back between fairly narrow gravel access roads which can be very dusty in dry weather.

There is a fair amount of shade, however we did feel that pitch maintenance was not a priority here, particularly in low season, many pitches were rutted or bare with overgrown hedges. The outdoor pool is also not heated and is only open in July and August. The small shop stocks only basic dry goods and bread and there is a takeaway, both only open at weekends in low season or daily in July/August. A bar is open daily. The site also only organises events and entertainment in peak season.

Facilities at Capfun Mirabelle

Two central toilet blocks (not heated) are clean and well appointed; some cubicles and corridors are cramped in the smaller block. Washbasins in cubicles. Accessible Facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Small shop (July/Aug). Bar. Takeaway. Outdoor swimming pool, large park with slides and children’s pool, Playground, Inflatable games, Multisports ground, Petanque ground, Tennis, Ping-Pong tables, Sauna, Fitness area Fishing. Bicycle hire, Pedalos. Activities and entertainment (July/Aug). WiFi (charged).

Directions to Capfun Mirabelle

From Thionville, leave A31 at exit 37.2 and at first junction turn right on D918 to Stuckange. On leaving this village, turn first right on C1 to Volstroff where site is well signed.
