It is just a few steps to the fine, one-kilometre-long sandy beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Rügen island. The campsite is located in the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve, perfect for nature lovers and those looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.

The site, which is operated by the municipality of Mönchgut, has 340 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There are options for it to be located under pine trees or in open sunny pitches. The site offers excursion programmes, guided walks, and an entertainment programme. You can swim nearby in the sea or try windsurfing and paddle boarding. Other on-site facilities include a restaurant and snack bar open during high season and a children's play area.

From Thiessow, visitors have a direct connection to the cycling and hiking trail network on the island.

Directions to Campingplatz Thiessow

If you arrive by car, you are recommend to use the Rügen Ferry during the holiday periods. After crossing over to the island of Rügen, take the L30 from Glewitz in the direction of Samtens and later change to the L29 to Putbus in the direction of Göhren. Then follow the road to Thiessow. For caravans, the L29 is not suitable, so you should stay on the L30. Alternatively, you can of course also use the new Rügen Bridge or the old Rügen Dam. From Stralsund you can reach Bergen, Sellin and Baabe Thiessow.
