Alan Rogers Review
Campingplatz Buhlhof in Hinterzarten, Baden-Württemberg is a large site and is the closest one to the town on Lake Titisee. Facilities are spotless, the staff are excellent, fees are cheap, and it is just a five-minute walk to Titisee, although the site is up quite a steep hill. There is an excellent pub on site and the food is delicious. The area is a must if you are visiting this part of Germany – the town is geared towards tourists and is a fun place to visit, the lake’s water quality is very good and the weather here is sunnier than most parts of Germany, although nights can be chilly as you are 900 metres above sea level.
Many Black Forest trails can be reached directly from the site and Hockfirst, the highest point in the Black Forest, can be reached via an easy walk. There is a pub and tower at the top which provides cracking views. The site has 150 grass pitches with 16amp hook-up point for touring units. There are also 60 seasonal pitches and 2 Black Forest huts available to hire.
