Haddorfer Seen is leased to the owner, Achin Hagel, by the town of Wettringen. English is spoken by everyone at reception and you are made welcome from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave this idyllic site surrounded by moorland and lakes. The site has 170 touring pitches and 400 permanent pitches. There are also four safari tents and six cyclists’ huts to rent. The touring site has its own entrance away from the permanent units. All pitches have 16A electricity (Europlug) and the premium pitches have water and grey waste. It is attractively laid out and immaculately clean. The site roads are brick paved and access is easy. Motorhomes and caravans are welcomed but the site cannot accept large American-style RVs.

This is an ideal base for water-based activities, with Haddorfer See offering sailing and windsurfing. Naturbadesee is at the other side of the site and has a beach for swimming and relaxing. The picturesque town of Wettringen is close by and Neuenkirchen, Salzbergen and Rheine are a short distance away. For more comprehensive amenities, Osnabruck is only 40 km. away.

Two modern, heated sanitary blocks on the touring areas have superb facilities and are beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, with ample showers, toilets and washbasins. Excellent accessible facilities. Washing machine. Campers’ kitchen. Motorhome services. Small licensed shop and a snack bar in reception (1/4-31/10). Playground. Dog shower. Ball field. Fishing. WiFi throughout (free).

Directions to Campingpark Haddorfer Seen

From A30 take exit 7 (Rheine Nord). Turn left (Ahaus) on B70 for 6 km. Turn right onto K60, then right onto K66 (Neuenkirchen). Stay on K66 and turn right towards Salzbergen. Turn left at sign for Haddorfer Seen. Site is on right in 2 km. NB: Do not pull into gateway at reception. Park outside on area provided and you will be guided to touring entrance.
