Campingpark De Bongerd is an attractive, child friendly site with 550 pitches. Of these, 159 are for touring units arranged separately from static units and seasonal pitches in a former orchard. The grass touring areas are immaculately kept with 10A electricity, drainage and cable TV connections. Some of the pitches are smaller than others. The main attraction at this site is a large indoor play hall, De Holle Bolle Boom, which is where the enthusiastic entertainment team is based. There are ponds for adventure play with floating games and small beaches, and an open-air pool (10x15 m) with paddling pool. In high season and school holidays the site organises an extensive activity programme.

Beside reception, at the far end of the site, is a restaurant. De Bongerd is between Alkmaar and Schagen making it a good base to explore the widespread sand dunes on this part of the Dutch coast, the famous cheese market in Alkmaar, or the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen. For children, a ride on the steam train between Hoorn en Medemblik is a must, while adults can enjoy many walking and cycling opportunities. De Bongerd is a pretty site with friendly management and English is spoken.

Directions to Campingpark De Bongerd

Site is north of Tuitjenhorn, which is some 15 km. north of Alkmaar. It is well signed on the N245 road to Schagen.
