Alan Rogers Review of Camping Wagnerhof
Bergen is a pretty little village 3 km. south of the A8 München-Salzburg and about 10 km. from the Chiemsee, Germany’s largest lake. Wagnerhof is a well organised and very pleasant site with a good variety of trees, plants and shrubs in a quiet location on the edge of Bergen and with views of the hills and mountains which surround this area. The site is owned and run by two brothers, one of whom speaks good English. Most of the 130 touring pitches have some shade and are part hardstanding, part grass, all have 16A electricity and are separated by hedges.
With no organised entertainment, this is an ideal site for those who find this intrusive, but it can make a good night stop between Munich and Salzburg and you may well be tempted to stay longer and explore the Chiemsee, Bavarian mountains, Salzburg – or just relax!
Facilities at Camping Wagnerhof
Two first-class sanitary blocks, the larger in the centre of the site and the other by reception, provide some washbasins in cabins and are heated in cool weather. Washing machine, dryer, drying room, cooking facilities. Small shop (May-Oct). General room where drinks are served. Swimming pool adjacent (May-Sept). Tennis. Playground.
