Camping Vreehorst is a tranquil site with modern facilities, located within the Winterswijk National Park and close to the nature reserve at De Bekendelle. There are 200 pitches here, all of which are super pitches (100-140 sq.m, with water, drainage, 10A electricity, TV and WiFi connections). Of these, 22 pitches are available with private bathrooms or hardstandings. On-site amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and a separate children’s pool, a playground with a bouncy castle, and a sports field with artificial grass. During peak season, an activity and entertainment programme is on offer for children under 11 years.

Vreehorst is well placed for cycling enthusiasts. Bicycle hire is available at reception, and maps with recommended routes have been prepared. The local cycle network exceeds 1,500 km! The site boasts a number of luxury chalets (4-6 persons) to rent (with a covered porch and private sauna). The surrounding Achterhoek region is a popular holiday destination with a great deal on offer, including shopping in the pretty town of Winterswijk, the Dutch Town of Books, Bredevoort, or even a trip to nearby Germany.

Directions to Camping Vreehorst

Take the A12 and A18 motorways to Varsseveld and then N318 towards Aalten and Winterswijk. Around 2 km. before Winterswijk, and 600 m. beyond Miste, turn right (Breukinkweg). Follow signs from there.
