Le Vallon aux Merlettes is situated on the edge of the town and has a quiet, simple and rural ambience. The friendly owners are very welcoming and take care to maintain the site well. There are almost 100 grass touring pitches which are level and numbered and all have electricity (10A). Many shrubs and trees provide shade to some areas. Although there are limited leisure facilities on site, there are several sporting opportunities adjacent. The magnificent beaches of Saint Cast and a swimming pool with sea water are within 5 km. This site is ideally situated for excursions to Cap Fréhel, Erquy, Dinard, Saint Malo and Mont Saint-Michel.
A guided walk is organised each week and the site is willing to have groups for this and other activities. With its proximity to the centre of the village, with restaurants, shops and bars, it is ideal for those with camping cars and tents.

From the N12 take the D786 northeast to Erquy. Matignon is 16 km. east of Erquy still on the D786. Site is well signed in the town.
