Terme Catez is part of the modern Catez thermal spa, which includes very large and attractive indoor (31°C) and outdoor swimming complexes, among the largest waterparks in Europe, with large slides and waves. The campsite has 700 pitches, with 250 places for tourers, arranged on one large, open field with some young trees – a real sun trap – and provides level, grass pitches numbered by markings on the tarmac access roads. All have 10A electricity connections.
Although the site is ideally placed for an overnight stop, it is well worth spending some time here and indulging in the excellent facilities that are included in the overnight camping charges. Off-site, go hiking in the Gorjanci Mountains and explore this delightful region's castles, vineyards and unspoilt nature.
The site is in the centre of a large complex which caters for most needs with its imaginative and extensive fun pools complete with toboggans and wave machine, a large shopping centre, and a comprehensive wellness centre with gym. These facilities, together with the numerous events that are organised, such as the Magic School and Junior Olympic Games for children means that visitors do not need to leave the site for entertainment. Should you wish to venture out, there are plenty of sight-seeing opportunities including large caves with impressive stalactites and churches with beautiful interiors.
