Camping ’t Strandheem has 330 quite large, numbered pitches (110 sq.m) some with hardstanding and suitable for motorhomes. All with electricity (4/10A), there are 180 used for touring units, partly separated by low hedges but without much shade. Of these, 45 pitches have water points, drainage and cable TV connections. The Bruinewoud family will give you a warm welcome. The reception building houses an attractive bar, a full restaurant, a disco for teenagers and a shop. The site has a lot to offer, especially for youngsters with a full entertainment programme in high season with water games in the lake next to the site, a games area and an indoor pool.

There is real life theatre, games and craft work, with a covered play area for bad weather. This site provides a base for some interesting excursions, including visits to the fishing harbour at Lauwersoog or the little village of Eenrum where you can learn to make mustard at Abraham’s Mosterdmakerij, design wax candles in a candle factory and visit a wooden shoe factory.

Two modern toilet buildings have washbasins, controllable showers, child size toilets and washbasins, a good baby room and fully equipped bathroom. Accessible Facilities. Launderette.
