Located on the banks of a beautiful lake, Het Bovenwater, and adjacent to the natural park of De Oostvaardersplassen, this site provides campers with peace and space, albeit with opportunities for various watersports on the lake. The site appeals primarily to young families, but also to retired couples. There are 70 touring pitches on one or two grassy fields and a designated area for campervans next to reception (all with 6A electricity). Some wooden cabins and a few caravans are available to rent, and 25 pitches have been designated for large tents in a separate field. There is no restaurant, but the site provides a barbecue hut with TV.

An adjacent surf school has windsurf boards for hire, as well as catamarans, canoes and pedal boats. Special windsurfing courses are available. Fishing is popular and well stocked ponds contain trout and salmon trout (fishing equipment available for hire – fishing license required). Fresh and smoked trout can be purchased here too.

Modern heated toilet block with controllable hot showers (€ 0.50) and facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Dishwashing (€ 0.20). Motorhome services. Direct lake access (sailing, windsurfing and fishing). Basketball. Trampoline. Dogs are not accepted.

Directions to Camping ’t Oppertje

Approaching using A6 take exit 10 to Lelystad (N309). This is the Larserdreef. After 2.5 km. and just before a sharp right-hand bend, turn left (Buizerdweg). After 1.5 km. turn right at the Uilenweg. The site is at the end of this road.
