One of the finest sites we have seen, Camping Seefeld Sarnen was completely rebuilt with all the features demanded by discerning campers and reopened in 2011. The location alongside Lake Sarnen is breathtaking, with views across the water to lush meadows, wooded hills and mountains topped with snow for most of the year. The seasonal pitches are immaculately maintained on their own area. There are 94 touring pitches arranged on almost level grass, each with 13A electricity and its own water tap. There is some shade from young trees which will increase as time goes on. The site not only offers active family holidays on land and on the water, but is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful part of Switzerland.
Leave the motorways and discover the enduring charm of centuries-old agricultural life, centred on the welfare of the typical grey/brown cattle and the ‘white gold’ of milk. Within easy reach are Lake Lucerne, Brienz and its cog railway and the ever-popular Interlaken. From Stansstad, the mountain railway runs to the summit of the renowned Mount Pilatus. Hikers and cyclists can enjoy the many trails available. In summer there is a discount card for local transport.

Heated sanitary facilities are in the main building supplemented by unheated facilities in the central block. Baby room and cubicles for children. Accessible Facilities. Washing machines and dryers, Dishwashing by EasyBe. Shop, bar and restaurant with large terrace (Easter-Oct). Campers’ lounge with kitchen, TV/DVD, tables and chairs. Two swimming pools with lifeguards (20/4-15/9). Two playgrounds. Watersports. Tennis. Bicycle hire. Dog bath; dogs not accepted in high season. WiFi throughout (free).
Directions to Camping Seefeld Sarnen
Approaching from Luzern (A8), leave at Sarnen’s southern junction. Pass through the town in the direction of Interlaken and Sachseln. Follow Camping Seefeld signs to the site.
