Alan Rogers Review of Camping Sandaya Les Vagues
Camping les Vagues is a member of the Sandaya group and is situated at the popular seaside resort of Valras-Plage, 500 m. from a fine sandy beach. Les Vagues has an excellent (28°C) swimming pool complex extending over 2,000 sq.m, complete with waves and a sandy beach; most impressive. There is also a wide range of amenities, including a buffet-style restaurant (with carvery), a multisports pitch and a minigolf course. Les Vagues is a lively site in peak season with frequent evening entertainment and activities for all ages. Touring caravans and motorhomes are not accepted.
Although the excellent sandy beach is likely to be the main attraction, there is a great deal to explore in the hinterland. Some of the finest Cathar castles are within easy reach, as well as the superb fortified city of Carcassonne. There are many vineyards in the area, notably Minervois and Corbières. Watersports are understandably popular and there is a sailing school nearby, as well as boat hire facilities.

Entertainment and miniclub (July/Aug). Gas or electric barbecues. Tourist train (July/Aug). WiFi (charged). Mobile homes and chalets for rent, not touring facilities.

Directions to Camping Sandaya Les Vagues
Les Vagues is on the southern side of Valras-Plage. Approaching from A9 autoroute, leave at the Vendres exit and head south on the D64. Having passed Vendres and shortly before reaching Valras, watch for site signs at roundabout and turn right.
