Camping Résidentiel la Pinède is a quiet site set back from the bustling resorts of Cap d’Agde and Sète, and is positioned amongst 300-year-old pine trees, partly on a hillside with views of vineyards and causses. All 155 mobile homes are privately owned or available for rent, they are well cared for with pretty, red tiled roofs and brightly coloured shutters, wooden decking and gardens. Cars are left at the perimeter of the site and paths meander through the pretty gardens and homes. Please note that there are no touring pitches here. The smart clubhouse at the heart of the site, which houses the bar and an entertainment-free restaurant, with a south facing terrace overlooking the pool area. There is also a second smaller heated pool, spa and children’s pool on the terrace below. La Pinède is open all year.

Sixty of the owners have elected to let their homes in this rather special environment, where there has been an attempt to integrate the campsite into the garrigue. The development has been done with care and is rather upmarket. Pézenas with its history and its present day artists’ workshops and antique shops is a short drive away. Take a walk around the back streets, wandering through medieval alleyways, cobbled streets and squares bordered by tall, elegant buildings. The sandy beaches of the Mediterranean at Marseillan and Cap d’Agde are a short drive and the River Hérault is close by - popular for canoeing and kayaking. The Etang de Thau is famous for its oysters and Picpoul de Pinet comes from the surrounding vineyards.

Directions to Camping Résidentiel la Pinède

Take A9 and exit for Bessan and Cap d’Agde. Continue towards Pézenas and take A75 towards Clermont l’Hérault. Take first exit (on the right) towards Castelnau-de-Guers. On exiting Castelnau-de-Guers, turn left towards Pomérols-Marseillan. Site is 2 km. on the left.
