Autocamping Pila is right beside the bustling seaside resort of Punat on the biggest Croatian island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by a toll bridge. Krk is the first island you reach as you travel south into Croatia and the Romans called it the ‘Golden Island’. Autocamp Pila is just 100 m. from the Adriatic and has 390 grass or gravel pitches for touring units. All have 10A electricity, plus 130 premium pitches have electricity, water and drainage. Two hundred and fifty pitches are numbered and many benefit from the shade of mature trees. The remainder are unmarked on a separate field. It can get very busy in high season and pitching can become cramped.

Krk lies in the Kvarner Cove of the Adriatic sea and Punat is in the southern, greener part of the island. It is an easy 200 m. walk from the site to the centre of the resort where there are many bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. An evening walk along the promenade to enjoy the deep blue, crystal clear waters of the Adriatic and the view on the little island Kosljun (to where a day trip can be booked) is certainly recommended.

On Krk follow D102 road south towards Baska and take exit for Punat. In Punat site is well signed.
