Alan Rogers Review
Bordering the grounds of a ruined medieval fortress, Camping Parc du Chateau is just over a kilometre from Epinal, the capital city of the Vosges department in Eastern France. The small site is welcoming with tidy flower beds, 36 grass pitches for touring units as well as attractive glamping units for rent, all separated by shrubs and mature trees. The site has its own pool (not heated) with sunbathing area and access for disabled visitors. A short walk of 500 metres out of the campsite gates takes you to Parc de Château which has a small animal park, a children's play area and views over the city.
This area will particularly appeal to hikers and cyclists as there are many routes leading straight out from the campsite; the staff can advise on difficulty level and distance.
Two toilet blocks with showers, clothes and washing up facilities. Restaurant to eat in or take away. Swimming pool adjacent to the bar. TV available in rented accommodation only. Reception selling cold drinks. Wi-Fi (charged 1 Euro for unlimited use), whole site.
From Nancy take the N57 to Epinal. After 55 kms take the exit Epinal/Razimont. At approximately 250 metres take Rue André Vitu and Chemin du Petit Chaperon Rouge to the camp site.Link to campsite location map on google
