Parc des Maurettes is a small site 400 m. from the beach. There are 108 pitches, of which 92 are used for touring units. There is a wide selection of pitches suitable for tents right up to American motorhomes (max 9 m. length). The pitches are terraced with good access, and some serviced pitches are available (3/10/16A electricity). The site has an indoor spa complex with sauna, jacuzzi and a small resistance swimming pool. A superb games room has traditional games set into table tops. The site does suffer from some background road and industry noise. Good English is spoken.

There is no on-site restaurant, bar or shop but local amenities are within walking distance. The site is popular with a wide range of nationalities and had an international feel at the time of our visit as the site’s mobile homes are popular with backpackers. Public transport is good in the area, with buses serving coastal towns and the train station 400 m. away. Several large water theme parks and good sporting facilities are nearby. The local town of Villeneuve-Loubet has a good selection of traditional French restaurants and shops.

Two dated but clean sanitary blocks (a mixture of British and squat style toilets). Accessible facilities. Washing machine. Motorhome services. Sauna and jacuzzi complex with outdoor sunbathing terrace. Excellent games room. TV room. Pétanque. Large play area. Car wash. Internet : WiFi on pitches (charged). Fax and post services. Gas supplies. Safety deposit box hire. Communal barbecue areas, no charcoal on pitches. Torches essential.

Directions to Camping Parc des Maurettes

From A8 (direction Nice), take exit 47 signed Villeneuve-Loubet. Follow RD6007 towards Antibes for 1 km. Turn right at corner of Intermarché supermarket entrance. Site is 300 m. Site is signed from the A8 exit.
