Camping Palafavera is a terraced site in the middle of the Italian mountain range the Dolomites. The backdrop of mountain tops and green expanses will make you feel like you're on holiday straight away. The impressive surroundings are a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. This region, north of Veneto province, has been on UNESCO's World Heritage list for years.

In keeping with the surrounding mountain landscape, you'll find the attractive wooden reception on the left, after the barrier. In the nearby village, there's a supermarket and a few restaurants. The site has 220 pitches of which 100 are or touring units with electric hook up points available. Even though the site is surrounded by tall conifers, most of the pitches are open and sunny. Part of the site is made up of terraces. The rest is flatter and lies off a small street. In the winter, this is a perfect winter sports site, with ski lifts nearby. There is extensive information about the area at the reception. If you fancy a day in Venice, it is easily accessible by train from the site.

Directions to Camping Palafavera

From Cortina d'Ampezzo join the SR48 to Pocon and turn left and join the SP638 to Rifugio Fedare and Selva di Cadore. At Selva di Cadore join the SP251 towards Pescul. The site is then on the left off this road. N.B. This is a long and windy mountain route.
