Camping Omaha Beach enjoys an outstanding setting, overlooking the vast beach after which it is named, and is an excellent base for exploring the region. There are 293 pitches here (190 for tourers), some with panoramic sea views. Pitches are generally of a good size and 100 have 10A electricity. A number of mobile homes and chalets are available to rent. Leisure facilities include a covered swimming pool (with aqua aerobics in high season) and a restaurant (with panoramic terrace). For many, the superb beach will be the main appeal of this site, and it can be easily accessed direct from the site (100 m.).

In 2016, the Tour de France will commence close to Omaha Beach and is sure to be popular. At any time, cycling is a great way to explore the region with miles of cycle trails and pleasant countryside to discover. There is a great deal to see in this region. The fine city of Bayeux is a ‘must’ with its fine cathedral and famous tapestry. Arromanches too is of great interest, now a sleepy seaside village but with the rermains of Mulberry harbour clearly visible.

Directions to Camping Omaha Beach

Approaching from the south (Bayeux), take the northbound N13 as far as Les Monuments and then take the northbound D30 to Vierville-sur-Mer. The site is clearly signposted in the village.
