Alan Rogers Review of Camping Olympia
In the Dolomite mountains, Camping Olympia continues to maintain its high standards. The 300 pitches are set out in a regular pattern and the tall pine trees, shrubs and hedges make this a very pleasant and attractive site. There are tree-clad hills on either side and craggy mountains beyond. The 230 mainly level touring pitches all have 6-16A electricity and a TV point. There are 63 fully serviced pitches with water, waste water, gas (21), telephone and satellite TV points. Some accommodation is available to rent, and there are 62 seasonal caravans which are mainly grouped at one end of the site.
A little fish pond with a fountain and surrounded by flowers makes an attractive central feature, whilst on the far side of the site, a gate leads out into the woods where there is a little play area and a small zoo with meerkats, black swans and other small animals. A sauna and massage centre has been added to the site, which is an ideal base from which to explore this part of German-speaking Südtirol on foot, by bicycle (track just outside camp) or by car – and Austria is just up the road!
