This 8.5-hectare site has a rural feel and is located on the northeast border between Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Pitches and amenities are arranged around a small lake complex, which offers swimming in one section and a separate area for fishing. The bar/brasserie with its terrace overlooks a beach and a diving area. The sanitary building is traditional and there are grassy pitches, some with electricity, water and drainage. Fishing on-site sees the chance to net a variety of freshwater fish including carp, pike and roach. Both walking and cycling routes start near the site.

Close to the campsite, there are several hiking trails, of varying levels of difficulty, while cyclists can access the transnational cycle network as the site is located on the Kempen and Maasland route.

Horse lovers are well catered for with nearby stud farms and stables with riding tracks. There are over 350 km. of bridleways through the woods and open country. Golf courses can be found at Beringen and Rekhoven. The nautical centre near Kinrooi has Europe’s largest harbour for pleasure boats.

Location

From Kinrooi centre take N762 south towards Maaseik. After 1.5 km. the site is signposted with small sign at the right side of the road.
