Alan Rogers Review of Camping Municipal du Bois du Bouquet
This is a fairly traditional municipal site with none of the ‘bells and whistles’ of its coastal counterparts. Just a short walk from the centre of the pleasant little market town of Moutiers les Mauxfaits, Le Bois de Bouquet has 70 large, marked, grassy pitches, most with electricity (6A), in a mixture of sunny and shady locations. There is also an open area without electricity. The site has a barrier to control the arrival and departure of over-height vehicles (caravans, motorhomes, etc.) which is operated by the warden. After his daily departure at 8 pm, any such vehicles would be unable to drive on to or off the site except by prior arrangement (if your arrival is delayed you should ring the site).
This site offers excellent value with its attractive, well maintained camping area and friendly ambience – you are quite likely to meet the Mayor who takes a personal interest in the site.
