Alan Rogers Review

The attractive town of Condom is in south west France, between the major cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse. Once a stopping point on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella, it is now associated with the production of Armagnac. Its municipal campsite lies in a quiet position some 1.5 kilometres to the south of town, but it can be reached on a pleasant walk along the river. There are 68 level, grassy pitches (min. 80 sq.m) with varying degrees of shade. A quarter of these have hedges and are more private. This is a good base for exploring the area or for a short stay on the journey south. There are few amenities on site, guaranteeing a restful stay, but plenty of activities nearby in high season.

After Lectoure on N21, turn onto D36 (becomes D7) following signs for Condom. At junction with D931 turn left (Pau), at roundabout take 1st exit, cross river following signs for Stade-Piscine and keeping on road signed Pau. Pass Base de Loisirs on left, then turn left at camping sign.
