This is a particularly well organised site in a peaceful location, just 16 km. from the A71 autoroute. The site has a slight slope but most of the 69 grass touring pitches are fairly level, all with electricity hook-ups (10A). Some pitches are individual, others in bays of four, and some for tents amongst trees. There is good shade in most areas. To the rear is a large open field which slopes down to the small river. Each evening the manager visits every pitch to take bread orders; these are available from reception at 08.00 the following morning. Four mobile homes are to rent.

This site is a good economic base for visiting Orléans, Blois or the châteaux of the Loire and is within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Accessible facilities, A second unit at the rear of the reception building has additional older facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Freezer for ice blocks. Another building houses a leisure room, microwave and fridges. Motorhome services. Playground. Two tennis courts. Bicycle hire. River fishing adjacent to site. Communal barbecue. Free WiFi over part of site.

Directions to Camping Municipal de la Varenne

Neung-sur-Beuvron is 40 km. east of Blois, and 2 km. west of the D922, 22 km. north of Romarantin-Lanthenay. From the east, in the town centre, turn right at church and follow signs for camping. From the west turn left in the town centre, then as above.
