Alan Rogers Review of Camping Municipal Chibaou-Berria
The first impression of this large site beside the beach is one of neatness. From the entrance, tarmac roads lead to spacious pitches which are divided by hedges with plenty of room for awnings. Pitches to the left hand side beyond reception are placed at different levels, whilst those to the right have a sea view. There are 215 pitches in all, all with 10A electricity hook-ups. There is direct access to the beach for surfing and windsurfing. Nearby are discos, tennis courts and often Basque folk festivities or Corridas with Landes cows. There is some noise from the road, and from the railway line during the day.
Facilities at Camping Municipal Chibaou-Berria
Toilet facilities include some showers with washbasins and individual wash cabins. Toilets are a mix of British and squat style. Laundry facilities including washing machines and ironing room. Play area. Only a few spaces are suitable for motorhomes. Unsuitable for American-style motorhomes and twin-axle caravans. The approach road is very narrow. Shuttle but to town (July/Aug).
