On the northwest edge of Munich, this site makes a good stopover for those wishing to see the city or spend the night. The flat terrain is mostly covered by mature trees, giving shade to most pitches. Caravan owners are well off here as they have a special section of 130 individual drive-through pitches, mainly separated from each other by high hedges and opening off the hard site roads with easy access. These have 10A (Europlug) electricity connections and 15 have water and drainage also. About 200 tents and motorhomes are taken on quite large, level grass areas, with an overflow section, so space is usually available.

There is a shop and rest room with TV and a drinks machine (including beer). There is some road noise, but we spent another reasonably undisturbed night here, helped by the new earth bank, and it is a very convenient site.

Facilities

The central sanitary block is large, having been extended, and together with a new prefabricated type unit the provision should now be adequate. Cleaning is satisfactory and there is heating in the low season. Hot showers require tokens, as do some washbasins. Accessible facilities, Cooking facilities on payment. Washing machine and dryers. Gas supplies. Motorhome services. Shop (from May). Bar (from July). TV room. Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged).

Location

Site is 5 km. northwest of the city centre. From Stuttgart, Nürnberg, Deggendorf or Salzburg, leave A99 at Kreuz-West, exit 8 for München-Lochhausen and turn left into Lochhausener Strasse (site signed). The site is a further 1.5 km.
