This very neat, purpose built site is in the small town of Moncofa, just 200 metres from the sea and right beside a water park with pools and slides. There are 170 gravel based pitches arranged in rows off tarmac access roads. The 90 touring pitches all have 6A electricity, water and drainage. Hedges have been planted to separate the pitches but these are still small so there is little shade (canopies can be rented in high season). The site’s facilities and amenities are all very modern but small stone reminders of the area’s Roman and Arab history are used to decorate corners of the site.

The attractive pool is open all year, and in high season there is a shop, bar and restaurant. Shops and other local amenities are within walking distance. There may be some noise from children enjoying themselves at the water park next door. This would be a good base for touring the beautiful inland region from a seaside base. English is spoken in reception.

Three modern toilet blocks are well placed and provide good, clean facilities. Free hot showers and open style washbasins. Accessible Facilities (key). Laundry facilities. Shop (July/Aug). Bar and restaurant (weekends and high season). Swimming pool. Good play area. Boules. Library. Some entertainment in high season. WiFi over site (charged). Animals are not accepted.

Directions to Camping Monmar

Turn off N340 Castellon-Valencia road on CV2250 signed Moncofa. Follow sign for tourist information office in town and then signs for site. Pass supermarket and turn left to site in 600 m.
