Camping Möltenort is situated close to an old Viking settlement of the same name, on the outskirts of the Baltic Seaside resort of Heikendorf. It lies between the forest and the sea with views of the Kiel Fjord, easy access to a sand and pebble beach, numerous cycle routes, and opportunities for windsurfing closer to the town. It is a terraced site with 153 marked pitches, 90 for tourers, all with electricity connections (10A, Europlug). The site is closed for lunch between 13.00 and 15.00. Heikendorf has a rich maritime history including a memorial to the U-Boat submariners.

Heated sanitary block with hot showers (on payment) and some washbasins in cubicles. Washing machines and dryers. Dishwashing by EasyBe, Shop with fresh bread. Snack bar and restaurant (limited menu). Takeaway. Small play area. Games room. Fishing. Boat launching. Direct beach access. No electric barbecues. WiFi over site (charged). Two fully equipped caravans to rent.

Directions to Camping Moltenort

From A7 and A21 motorways, exit onto B404 to Kiel. Follow signs and continue on B502 to Heikendorf North exit, taking the direction of the Memorial, then look for site signs.
