Camping de Savel is the site for you if you are a lover of hiking, water sports and family-friendly holidays. It is ideally located in Mayres-Savel, Isèr, in the heart of the Alps, at the crossroads of three natural parks (the Vercors, the Chartreuse and the Ecrins National Park) and 45 minutes from Grenoble; the site stretches along Lake Monteynard. Second windiest lake in Europe, the joys of windsurfing, kitesurfing or catamaran sailing are yours. After a busy day, you will be able to make full use of the heated swimming pool overlooking the lake and the mountains, gourmet restaurant with homemade dishes, and night entertainment on Thursdays and Saturdays (in July/August). For those interested in fishing, the site sells fishing licenses. One of the most beautiful hiking trails in Europe is 3 km from the site, La Passerelle du Drac, via a footbridge over the lake.

The site has 80 grassy touring pitches bordering the lake with a 12amp hook-up point. 55 seasonal pitches. There are also 32 mobile homes, chalets and safari tents available to hire. Please note that pets are Not allowed on site.

Directions to Camping Mayres Savel

From Grenoble on the A51/E712 leave at junction 8 to join N85 in the direction of Vizille and La Mure. In La Mure, at the roundabout follow signs for Mayres-Savel and 'Camping de Savel' it is then another 15 km to the site on a twisty road.
