Alan Rogers Review of Camping Mas de Nicolas
This site has a very spacious feel to it, due mainly to the central area of gently sloping grass, dotted with shrubs, that is kept clear of pitches and used for leisure and sunbathing. The 138 pitches are separated by hedges, trees and flowering shrubs, 34 for mobile homes, the remainder for touring units. The pitches all have 10A electricity, water and drainage and access roads are wide. Some pitches are an irregular shape and some are sloping, but many have views and they are mostly organised into groups of two and four. There is an attractive pool area with Balnéotherapie et Remise en form or, as we would call it, a spa and gym.
Saint Rémy-de-Provence is a very popular town and this reflects on Mas de Nicolas, as this too is very popular and always reasonably busy. It is possible to walk to the town centre in 5-10 minutes and buses go from here to Avignon, etc. A gate at the top of the site leads onto common land.
Facilities at Camping Mas de Nicolas
Good, modern sanitary blocks with baby bathroom and accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryer. Dog shower. Motorhome services. Small bar (1/4-30/09). Takeaway (15/5-15/9). Occasional paella evenings. Heated swimming pool and paddling pool (8/4-01/10). Sauna, steam room, spa bath, gym. Play area. Fridge hire. WiFi (free in bar and reception). Gas barbecues permitted.
Directions to Camping Mas de Nicolas
St Rémy-de-Provence is located where the D571 from Avignon connects with the D99 Tarascon-Cavaillon road. Site is signed from the village centre on the north side. Leave the A7 at Cavaillon or Avignon-Sud.
