Camping Mas de la Cam is a superb, high quality, family run touring site on the edge of the Cévennes National Park and you are assured of a warm welcome here (English and Dutch spoken). It is a very pleasant and spacious site with well trimmed grass and hedges and a profusion of flowers and shrubs. Lying alongside the small Gardon river, the banks have been left free of pitches giving neat grass for sunbathing and some trees for shade, whilst children can amuse themselves in the water (no good for canoes). The 200 medium to large pitches, all for touring, are on low level terraces with varying amounts of shade and have electricity (6/10A).

In the low season, bridge drives and boules tournaments are organised. In the high season, there is some family entertainment and a musical evening once a week. Nearby, one can walk in the footsteps of Robert Louis Stevenson (Travels with a Donkey), ride on a steam train, explore the deep underground caverns or visit a giant bamboo forest. Entrance is via a narrow unfenced bridge, so not ideal for large outfits. Nine gîtes for rent in a beautiful old farmhouse.

Three high quality, very clean toilet blocks (one recently rebuilt) include baby bath and accessible facilities. Washing machines. Plans for a motorhome service point. Restaurant/takeaway (1/6-10/9). Small shop (20/5-15/9). Bar (26/5-10/9). Attractive large swimming pool (heated) and paddling pools (15/5-15/9). Excellent play area with new equipment. Sports areas, multisports court for football, volleyball and basketball. Tennis. Boules. Club used in low season for bridge, in high season as games room. Fishing. WiFi. Only gas and electric barbecues allowed.

Site is 3 km. northwest of St Jean-du-Gard towards St André-de-Valborgne on D907, site signed, fork left, descend across a narrow unfenced bridge to site. Site entrance not accessible from north.
