This very friendly, well cared for, family run, site with a long season will appeal to those who seek less in the way of on-site entertainment. It is an ideal base to tour the beautiful region of northern Provence, famous for its wines, lavender and olives. There are 79 small to medium sized pitches with 75 for touring. Most are gravelly but a few have some grass (6A electricity is available). Some pitches are laid out irregularly under trees with good shade and others, alongside the river, are separated by hedges and have less shade. Rock pegs are essential.

The safe river is ideal for sunbathing, bathing and fishing. The historical town of Nyons with its famous market and a wide range of shops, banks, bars and restaurants is 3 km.

Facilities at Camping Bivouac de l'Eygues

Although not the most modern, the toilet block is kept very clean and has all the usual facilities but no accessible facilities. Small bar and snack bar (July/Aug). Games/TV room. Fridge hire. Boules. Fishing and bathing in adjacent river. Animals not accepted in July/Aug. Only electric and gas barbecues permitted.

From Nyons head northeast on the D94 for 3 km. towards Gap. Turn right at traffic lights just before entering Aubres, site signed. Entrance 200 m.
