This is a simple, pleasant, T-shaped site with the best beach on Lake Trasimeno. Listro provides 100 pitches, all with 3A electricity, many of which are on the lakeside giving stunning views out of your windows and shade is available on most. Facilities are fairly limited with a small shop, bar and snack bar, and there is no organised entertainment. English is spoken and British guests are particularly welcome. The campsite’s beach is private and the lake has very gradually sloping beaches making it very safe for children to play and swim. A great site for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of simple camping without the comprehensive facilities and busy activities found on many other lakeside sites. This is reflected in the prices which are very reasonable.

The lake water is very warm and kept clean as fishing and tourism are the major industries hereabouts. Camping Listro is a few hundred yards north of the historic town of Castiglione which is built into the hillside above the site and provides all the usual services.

Two sanitary blocks are kept clean. One is rustic in style with outside showers. One includes British style WCs. Accessible Facilities. Washing machine. Motorhome services. Bar. Shop. Snack bar. Play area. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Private beach. Guided tours. WiFi over part of site (charged). Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Directions to Camping Listro

From A1/E35 Florence-Rome autostrada take Val di Chiana exit and join the Perugia (75 bis) superstrada. After 24 km. take Castiglione exit and follow town signs. Site is clearly signed just before the town.
