Camping Les Portes de l'Anjou is in the Pays de la Loire, on the banks of the river Loire. The site has 80 shady touring pitches with a 10-amp hook-up point. As you would expect, the best are located directly on the river bank, where a hedge separates the pitches from the water. In addition to touring pitches, 29 mobile homes or chalets are available to hire. In the immediate vicinity, you will find restaurants, bars, and a supermarket. Site users also have free access to the municipal swimming pool, which is just a few minutes walk away from the campsite.

The site is ideal for those who wish to explore the area via the water, as you can hire canoes and stand-up paddle boards directly from the site. If you prefer to stay on dry land, there are plenty of fishing opportunities for avid anglers who can fish directly from the river bank. After a great day of sightseeing and activities, you can relax at the campsite's bar with a terrace and enjoy a bite to eat.

The Loire Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its beautiful châteaux (castles), vineyards, and gardens. Some of the most popular châteaux in the area include Château d'Angers, Château de Saumur, and Chambord. Château de Durtal is a must-visit. This imposing castle is in the middle of Durtal and overlooks the Loire.

Directions to Camping Les Portes de l'Anjou

From the A11/E501 take exit 11 Durtal. At the roundabout after the toll booth, take the first exit Rue Saint- Pierre towards Durtal. Continue on this road to Durtal Castle and turn left onto the D323. After a short distance turn right onto Rue du Camping and the site is on this road. The site is signed.
