The name gives a clue to its location! This well-run site is on the edge of a pine forest and just a 600 m. walk to the sea. The 255 pitches are mainly occupied by mobile homes, with 90 for rent and 50 owned by a small British tour operator, but there are 52 mainly level touring pitches in groups and divided by hedges. Forty have 10A electricity, water and drainage whilst a few are tucked away among the trees and are ideal for smaller tents. Quiet in low season, the site comes to life in July and August with activities arranged for all the family.

There is a children’s club daily except Saturdays, sports events for teenagers (and energetic adults) and the usual range of entertainment every evening in high season. The outdoor pool complex, near the bar and reception, is heated and includes a children’s pool and waterslides. An attractive indoor pool, also with paddling pool and slide, is in a quiet corner of the site. There are shops, restaurants and, of course, markets in the nearby towns, and the area has a wealth of attractions, with the elegant resort of Les Sables d’Olonne just a 30 km. drive away.

Two unheated sanitary blocks are bright, clean and well maintained. Hot water to dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machines and dryers. Facilities for children and accessible facilities. Shop, bar with restaurant, games and TV. Snack bar with takeaway (limited opening in low season). Heated outdoor pool with paddling pool and slides (supervised July/Aug). Indoor pool (all season). Adventure play area on sand. Bouncy castle. Activities and entertainment for children and adults (July/Aug). Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged).

Location

Longeville-sur-Mer is 32 km. south of La Roche-sur-Yon. Site is 6 km. south of town on D105 to La Tranche-sur-Mer. From A87 Cholet/La Roche leave at exit 32 for La Tranche-sur-Mer and follow D747 to La Tranche. Turn northwest on D105 for 6 km. to Les Conches where site is signed to left.
