Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Chevreuils
Set in a mature pine and oak forest, 1.2 km. from the beach, this campsite has randomly spaced, well shaded pitches of a variety of sizes. Sandy ground and tree roots can make for uneven ground. Little evening entertainment is organised, as the emphasis here is on peace and quiet. This site is ideal for couples and families with small children who wish to stay in natural surroundings reflecting the traditional style of camping. The site is not recommended for campers with disabilities due to the uneven, sandy ground. Two swimming pools are set in a sunny area with plenty of space for sunbathing.
A small restaurant and snack bar offer reasonably priced meals and the traditional sanitary blocks are clean. There are over 50 km. of cycle tracks and with a bus service to Bayonne, Leon and Dax, there are plenty of places to explore. Torches may be required.
Facilities at Camping les Chevreuils
Three clean toilet blocks are traditional in style. Accessible facilities but not suitable for wheelchair users. . Motorhome services. Laundry facilities. Fridge box hire. Shop (15/6-2/9). Bar (1/6-15/9). Restaurant (1/6-15/9). Miniclub (4-17 yrs) in July/Aug. Barbecues are not allowed (communal area supplied).

From N10 take exit 11 and D116 to Soustons. Head west on D652 towards Vieux-Boucau. Turn left on D79 heading south and site is 6 km. on the left.
