Run by a friendly English-speaking family, this small, rural site is off the beaten track in the beautiful Vercors mountains. At an altitude of 1200 m, nights here can be quite chilly. The site is open for both the summer and ski seasons and is ideal for lovers of nature. There are 85 sunny, slightly sloping, stony/grassy pitches with 77 for touring. Most have electricity (6/10A) and are set out on terraces with a special area for tents. All have wonderful views over the surrounding mountains and wooded hills. On site access is not easy for those with walking difficulties.

The aim of the owners is to provide a quiet and relaxing ambiance, so there is no on-site entertainment. There is a small wooded area, a special area for tents and some pitches are on hardstanding. The site is within a few minutes walk of the small ski resort of Gresse-en-Vercors with some shops open all year. There are many marked trails close by for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Access is via a 14 km. winding and hilly road but there are no steep hills or difficult bends.

Good quality and very clean modern toilet block (heated in cold weather) with facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Drying room, heated in winter. Motorhome services. Bar, restaurant and takeaway (July/Aug and other peak times). Small swimming pool but no paddling pool (15/6-31/8). Games/TV room. Play area. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping les 4 Saisons

Site is south of Grenoble. Take A48 autoroute/N75 south to Monestier-de-Clermont (35 km). Turn west, D8 then D8A to Gresse-en-Vercors (13 km). Site is well signed from the village in a few hundred metres. Only this route advised.
