Camping Lentemaheerd is the northernmost campsite on the Dutch mainland in the charming village of Uithuizermeeden, North Groningen. Immerse yourself in the vast, open landscapes of this unique province, with both the Wadden Sea and the vibrant city of Groningen within reach. This intimate campsite offers a peaceful retreat without compromising on comfort. Choose from 25 spacious touring pitches with 10Amp electric hook-up points available. You can choose your pitch on two camping fields: enjoy panoramic views of the Groningen countryside or find shade under our fruit trees. All pitches are car-free and equipped with electricity.
The reception area is housed in a former farmhouse, filled with local tips and information. The recently renovated toilet block is heated and includes accessible facilities. Camping Lentemaheerd is a family paradise. Kids will love exploring the playground, bouncing on the trampoline, or zooming around on karts and scooters. Our small petting zoo, featuring donkeys and rabbits, is a delightful addition. For rainy days, our indoor play area offers TV, games, and toys.
Nature and culture enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice. Hike or bike through the area's many trails, marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wadden Sea, or take a boat trip to the German island of Borkum.
