This site is perched high above Lekeitio and has commanding views of the town, sea and surrounding areas. A steep road leads up to the site, but upon arriving at the car park and reception, the area becomes flat. There are 111 touring pitches on open, level grass with good mountain views. All have electricity (5A). There is little shade and the pitches are not defined. This is a quiet site, suitable for couples and families with small children and for those wishing to explore the attractive local towns or the many rural walks in the area. Transport is essential. There are few facilities for children other than a swimming pool. The attractive local town of Gernika and further afield, Bilbao, are both worth a visit. Currently, there are seven chalets to rent with superb views of the coastline.

Two modern, clean sanitary blocks are well equipped and there are separate accessible facilities. Excellent laundry. Motorhome services. Shop (High season). Restaurant, bar and takeaway (all year, closed Tues/Wed). Swimming pool (High season). Dog washing area. Small toddlers’ play area in car park. Free WiFi throughout.

Directions to Camping Leagi

From Lekeitio cross bridge heading east. Immediately turn right onto BI4449 to Mendexa. Continue up hill for 800 m. Site is signed on bend. Immediately turn sharp right and access is via a steep and narrow road.
