Situated on the edge of the Minervois area amidst olive trees and vineyards and tucked in a wooded curve of the Cesse river, this is quite an unusual site. It is a welcome change from the numerous beach sites with little greenery. There are 114 hedged pitches with level grass and a wide range of trees and shrubs providing shade. All have 10A electricity. There are also over 40 mobile homes and caravans arranged amongst the touring pitches, some to rent. The pool area is well maintained, with a not-so-pretty, barn-like building providing a bar, snack bar, games room and reception.

It nevertheless seems to function well. Access to the river, which is fenced, is by key – everyone is given one – and it is possible to fish and swim, although you need to climb the wooded bank to see the river. The local sports area is next door with tennis courts and you can walk into the pretty village which has two restaurants.

Three toilet blocks opened progressively are adequate and tidy. Baby bath. Washing machine. Swimming pool and paddling pool (1/5-30/9). Aquagym and swimming classes. Bar with snacks open on demand. Bread to order. Play area. Children’s club (6-11 yrs, July/Aug). Bicycle hire. Gas barbecues only.
